Colitis - Inflamed Colon

Colitis as a rule is more common in women than men and often triggered by emotional upset. Symptoms or distressing hallmarks of colitis are severe abdominal pain, and alternating diarrhea and constipation.  A person's diet is of prime importance and should include certain foods and nutritional supplements.  A natural multivitamin-mineral, potassium for diarrhea, raw cabbage juice for ulcers, at the least 8 glasses of pure water, Aloe Vera juice as a anti-inflammatory, probiotics to supply  friendly bacteria in the colon, bran flakes for natural fiber and MSM to provide healing sulfur for the inflamed tissues.
