Free Radicals - The Bad Guys

Free radicals are the by-product of the body burning fuel for energy daily. Like smoke being the by-product of coal being burned as fuel. They are a necessary but unwanted by-product.  Uncontrolled oxidations( free radicals)  that damage the cells and weaken the immune system can be prevented with an antioxidant lifestyle. Air pollution, smoking, drinking alcohol, and disease to charcoal-broiled food, old age, and vigorous exercise generate extra free radicals. Our bodies produce natural antioxidants such as catalase, coenzyme Q10, glutathione, melatonin, vitamin A, lipoic acid, selenium, zinc, vitamin C and E, and many more, to keep free radicals in check.  As we age, more free radicals accumulate, leaving the body significantly at risk to cancer and heart disease and other degenerative diseases. Because of this,

antioxidant foods and supplements such as leafy green vegetables, fruits and GreenGold nutrition are needed in our diets as soon as possible to reap greater long term benefits.
